While the new year slips through fingers and heavy eyes I sleep and wonder. Do dreams come true if I have told my pillow of you? Or does the passing of an old year in dreams mean less that I thought? This happened last year too. And I am worried that I leave the party so soon because I worry about the rot reaching my nose sooner than any one else’s. But as luck may have it i did not go to a party this year. I was sick in bed and the year passed by me with a whispered word and two pennies. Happy new year.
